A collection of fibreglass horses has begun appearing on the streets of Dubai, delighting residents with their varied designs and elegant shapes.
By March around 100 of the model equines will be on display across the city, bringing back memories of more than 80 camel sculptures that adorned the emirate last year.
This latest project is the work of community art company ArtWorks, which was also behind the camels.
Many of the horses will be auctioned later this year with the proceeds being split between children's charities and the promotion of arts and culture in Dubai.
The first horses were recently unveiled on Shaikh Zayed Road and at the World Trade Centre Roundabout.
"We had such a wonderful response from the Dubai community to the camels and people kept asking, 'What's coming next year?'" said Patricia Palmer, who runs ArtWorks with husband Ken.
"We started thinking and the logical choice was the Arabian Horse, which is part of Dubai's heritage.
"We will be seeing a lot more horses over the next couple of weeks. We'll keep putting them all around Dubai.
"The artists are doing gorgeous work and it will be a really wonderful display. It will change the look of Dubai," she said.
Among the horses are Red Fantasy, which is painted red with gold leaf across its body, and Monarch Butterfly, which has butterfly wings.
Golden Pride sports a set of falcon wings, while Mutanabi Verse is decorated with lyrics by famous poet Al Mutanabi.
The horses are being painted by professional artists along with pupils from 18 schools and colleges on the second floor of Children's City in the Creek Park.
Many of the horses have been paid for by sponsors, who will get the chance to buy them back for Dh15,000, with the money going to a charity of their choice.
Those that are not bought by their sponsors will be auctioned at the end of May by a top international auction house.
