Our Horse Maharajah was designed by Latifa Darwish, a second year Communication Technology student. It is based on an Indian design and that is where the inspiration came from.
It was painted by year 1 Communication Technology students (18 in all) who had a wonderful time painting it as part of their Visual Communication course.
It was a great project and fabulous learning experience for the students. Many of the girls were afraid to touch the horse let alone go near him with a brush, but they had a great deal more confidence by the end and had improved their painting skills.
