Medecins Sans Frontieres is a humanitarian and medical aid agency committed to both providing medical aid wherever needed regardless of race, religion, politics or sex, and to raising awareness of the plight of the people they help. Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for its humanitarian assistance to populations in distress and victims of natural disasters and armed conflict in over 80 countries throughout the world. MSF is an international, independent, non-profit, emergency medical relief organisation that relies on volunteers to provide aid without discrimination. MSF was established in the UAE in 1995 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Education.
