
Bougainvillea decorates the neighborhoods of Dubai with its lavish display of paper thin flowers in vibrant pinks, reds, oranges and fuchsia. Sue Mulvaney has created a beautiful golden horse that seems to have just trotted thru a garden of the Jumeirah area, which is the location of the Dubai international Art Centre.
The Dubai International Art Centre was founded in 1976 by a small group of artists and has grown into the largest multi-national non-profit organization in the Emirates with more than 1,200 members from over 60 different nationalities. The Centre provides a wide range of art courses and workshops for adults and children of all ages, and currently has over 50 teachers whose expertise covers a very wide range of skills and a variety of different national cultures. 75 different courses are usually on offer covering drawing and painting in all media, etching and printing, pottery and sculpture, traditional and digital photography, needlework and lace-making, calligraphy, and many others.
